What does it do?

Sertaconazole nitrate is a component belonging to the antifungal class, used to treat fungal infections of the skin and the urogenital tract. This component inhibits the growth of fungi and alleviates symptoms in the infected area.

Sertaconazole nitrate disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, a component of fungal cell membranes, preventing fungal cells from functioning normally. As a result, fungal cells die or their growth stops, leading to the resolution of the infection.
