What does it do?

Psyllium powder is dietary fiber extracted from the seed husks of the Plantago ovata plant. It is mainly used in medications for the treatment of constipation, as it absorbs moisture in the intestines and softens the stool.

It absorbs moisture in the intestines, expands, increases the bulk of the stool, and makes it softer. This promotes intestinal movement and facilitates bowel movements.
