What does it do?

Cyproterone acetate is a synthetic steroid anti-androgen and progestin. It is used to inhibit the action of androgens and regulate the effects of female hormones in conditions of hormonal imbalance such as gynecomastia.

This ingredient blocks the binding of the male hormone androgen to its receptors, reducing the action of androgens. At the same time, it acts as a progestin, balancing hormones and alleviating the symptoms of gynecomastia.

Approved uses differ by product. Check each product's information for its actual use.

Good to know

Unlike simple androgen blockers, cyproterone acetate also exhibits progestin effects, acting in a complex manner to regulate hormones. This results in a specialized effect for the treatment of gynecomastia.
