What does it do?

EvoCalset is composed of agents belonging to the calcium-sensing receptor agonist class, which is used to regulate the excessive secretion of parathyroid hormone from the parathyroid glands. It is primarily utilized in the treatment of hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease.

EvoCalset activates the calcium-sensing receptors on the surface of parathyroid cells, allowing them to detect calcium levels in the blood. This leads to the suppression of parathyroid hormone secretion, thereby regulating blood calcium levels.
