What does it do?

Lansoprazole granules belong to the class of proton pump inhibitors. They are used to treat ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux disease by inhibiting the production of gastric acid in the acid-secreting cells of the stomach wall.

Lansoprazole reduces the secretion of gastric acid by blocking the proton pumps within the stomach wall cells. This reduction in gastric acid helps to prevent damage to the gastric mucosa and aids in the healing of ulcers.
