What does it do?

Aspirin enteric pellets are a form of aspirin, consisting of small pellets coated to reduce gastric irritation. This ingredient is used in atherothrombotic agents for the purpose of improving blood circulation and preventing thrombus formation. It primarily inhibits the aggregation of platelets to prevent thrombosis.

Aspirin enteric pellets prevent platelets from sticking together, thus preventing the formation of thrombus. This helps maintain smooth blood flow and reduces the risk of vascular blockage due to atherosclerosis. The enteric coating minimizes direct irritation to the stomach.

Approved uses differ by product. Check each product's information for its actual use.

Good to know

Unlike regular aspirin, enteric pellets are designed to dissolve in the small intestine to reduce the burden on the stomach. Consequently, they carry a lower risk of gastrointestinal disturbances and are relatively safe for long-term use. The thrombus prevention effect is maintained at the same level as regular aspirin.
