What does it do?

Etoricoxib belongs to the class of selective COX-2 inhibitors and is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is primarily used to relieve inflammation and pain in conditions like arthritis or musculoskeletal disorders.

Etoricoxib selectively inhibits the enzyme COX-2, which causes inflammation, thereby reducing inflammatory responses and pain. This results in alleviation of swelling and pain, as well as a decrease in fever.
