What does it do?

Rosuvastatin calcium is a lipid-lowering agent belonging to the statin class and is used to decrease blood bad cholesterol (LDL). It is mainly prescribed for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases associated with atherosclerosis.

This ingredient inhibits an enzyme that regulates cholesterol synthesis in the liver, thereby lowering blood LDL cholesterol levels. As a result, it reduces the accumulation of cholesterol in blood vessels and slows the progression of atherosclerosis.
