What does it do?

Prilocaine is an ingredient belonging to the local anesthetic class, and when applied to the skin or mucous membranes, it blocks nerve signal transmission in that area, alleviating pain. It is mainly used in cream form for skin anesthesia.

Prilocaine blocks the sodium channels of nerve cells, preventing nerve stimulation from being transmitted to the brain. As a result, the sensation in that area is dulled, and pain is not felt.

Approved uses differ by product. Check each product's information for its actual use.
