What does it do?

Gliclazide is an oral blood sugar-lowering agent of the sulfonylurea class, used to help control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. This ingredient promotes insulin secretion to lower blood sugar.

Gliclazide acts on the beta cells of the pancreas to increase insulin secretion. When more insulin is secreted, glucose in the blood moves into the cells, lowering blood sugar levels.
