Elocan Tablets (L-Carnitine)

Adult dosage

L-Carnitine is taken orally in divided doses of 2 to 3g per day, 2 to 3 times a day. Adjustments may be made according to age and symptoms.

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to it. Temporary symptoms of nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and changes in body odor may occur during administration. Additionally, skin rashes or hives and swelling of the face may appear, so caution is required. In some patients with reduced kidney function, mild symptoms of muscle weakness may occur. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been fully established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take it when the benefits outweigh the risks. If breastfeeding, this medication may pass into breast milk, so it should be used cautiously considering its effects on the baby.

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is important to maintain a storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature.
