Adjunct treatment for liver disease (bile secretion deficiency, biliary tract diseases) and improvement of liver function in chronic liver disease, relief of dyspepsia.
This medication is used as an adjunct treatment for liver diseases and biliary tract diseases caused by inadequate bile secretion. It is also effective in improving liver function reduction due to chronic liver disease. It helps relieve dyspeptic symptoms following small bowel resection or due to inflammatory bowel diseases. It is used to generally improve liver and digestive function.
Take Ursodeoxycholic Acid 50-100 mg at a time, three times a day.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with an allergy to specific components. Patients with severe biliary obstruction should avoid taking this medication as it may alter the flow of bile and worsen symptoms. Patients with acute hepatitis should be cautious as symptoms may worsen with this medication. Patients with radiolucent gallstones or a dysfunctional gallbladder should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication. It is safest to not administer this medication to children. Patients with poor kidney function should also avoid taking this medication. Patients with acute gastric or duodenal ulcers should be cautious as this medication may irritate the gastric mucosa and worsen symptoms. Patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn's disease, must consult a specialist before taking this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic conditions should not take it. Caution is advised when taking this medication with certain diabetes medications, some antacids, lipid-lowering agents, etc., as the efficacy may change. It is advised to avoid taking this medication with drugs that may cause liver damage. Patients with severe pancreatic disease or gallstones in the bile ducts must consult a doctor before taking this medication, and consultation is also needed if liver function deteriorates rapidly. If gastrointestinal symptoms, allergic reactions, or serious adverse reactions such as breathing difficulties occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Regular liver function tests should be conducted during treatment, and elderly patients may require dose adjustment due to declining physical function. Dissolution of gallstones may take 6 months to 2 years; if there is no effect after a certain period, treatment may be discontinued.

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to protect it from air or moisture. The appropriate storage temperature is room temperature between 1°C and 30°C, avoiding excessively hot or cold places.
