Children's dosage

Ages 1-12: As Evening Primrose Oil, take 900-1,800 mg (80-160 mg as gamma-linolenic acid) twice daily. Should not be administered to infants under 1 year of age.

This medication should not be taken by infants under 1 year of age or by individuals with allergies to soybean oil or hypersensitivity to soybeans, peanuts. Furthermore, individuals who may have undiagnosed seizure symptoms, patients with schizophrenia, or those taking specific seizure-inducing medications should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Patients with issues related to lipid metabolism such as hyperlipoproteinemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, or pancreatitis should use this medication cautiously and it's important to discuss with a doctor. If symptoms such as nausea, dyspepsia, headache, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, weakness, swelling, or fainting occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. Rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rashes, itching, hives, and fever may occur, so individuals with a history of allergies should be especially careful. In case of overdose, soft stools and abdominal pain may occur, so it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage. While taking this medication, blood lipid levels should be monitored regularly to ensure smooth lipid metabolism and dosage adjustments may be necessary if needed. During the first 3 months of pregnancy, caution is required, similar to other medications, so if pregnant, one must consult a specialist.

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture, preferably at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Proper storage helps maintain the effectiveness of the medication.
