This medication is primarily used for chronic inflammatory diseases such as chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It also helps alleviate symptoms caused by osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is effective for pain, swelling, and inflammation resulting from trauma or surgery, and it supports the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. In other words, it is used for various inflammatory and painful conditions.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

As dexibuprofen, 300 mg is to be taken orally 2 to 4 times a day. However, the total daily dosage of dexibuprofen should not exceed 1,200 mg.

Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as it may cause gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication can pose risks to the cardiovascular system. People with heart or vascular diseases or risk factors should be particularly cautious, and if symptoms appear, they should seek medical attention immediately. This medication may increase the risk of serious issues like gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation. Older adults or those taking it for a long time may have an increased risk, so they should pay attention to gastrointestinal symptoms. People with gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, severe liver disease, kidney disease, heart failure, or high blood pressure should not take this medication. It is advisable to avoid taking this medication with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as combining them may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and reduce efficacy. Breastfeeding should be avoided while taking this medication. Additionally, dizziness or fatigue may occur, so caution is needed while driving or operating machinery. People with blood abnormalities, liver disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, heart failure, or a history of allergies must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If shock, severe skin rash, difficulty breathing, severe gastrointestinal symptoms, liver dysfunction, kidney problems, or cardiovascular symptoms occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication should be used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are necessary for long-term use.
