Relief of temporary insomnia
This medication helps relieve temporary insomnia. It improves difficulty falling asleep, allowing for restful sleep. It contributes to the recovery of fatigue caused by insomnia and enhances quality of daily life.
Adults: Take 50 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride orally once daily before bedtime. If excessive sedation occurs with a 50 mg dose of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, a 25 mg dose may be taken.
This medication should not be used by individuals with certain health conditions. For example, those who are allergic to this medication or have difficulty breathing due to asthma, emphysema, or chronic bronchitis should not take it. Additionally, individuals with lower urinary obstructive diseases such as glaucoma or benign prostatic hyperplasia should not take this medication. Those with peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal obstruction, children under 15 years of age, and individuals with seizure disorders such as epilepsy should also avoid this medication. Pregnant women or nursing mothers are advised not to take this medication, and it is also recommended that those who commonly experience insomnia or have been diagnosed with insomnia do not use this medication. While taking this medication, other medications containing the same ingredient, sedatives, cold medicines, antipyretics, cough medicines, expectorants, and antihistamines should not be taken together. This medication should also be avoided for long-term or continuous use, and since drowsiness may occur after taking it, it is safest to avoid driving or operating machinery until drowsiness has cleared. It is also advisable not to drink alcohol while taking this medication. Patients with myasthenia gravis, those undergoing treatment, elderly individuals, those with allergic conditions, or those who have experienced allergic reactions to medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. The same applies to pregnant women or those who may become pregnant. If skin rash, itching, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, discomfort, palpitations, difficulty urinating, blurred vision, or other symptoms occur after taking this medication, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after 2-3 doses, it is important to contact a professional promptly. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and if insomnia persists for more than 2 weeks, a doctor should be consulted. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept tightly closed in its original container to maintain the quality of the medication.
