Improvement of hypercholesterolemia (primary, mixed type) and treatment of dyslipidemia
This medication is used for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia, including familial or non-familial hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It helps lower total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL cholesterol levels, which is the good cholesterol. It is also effective in improving blood lipid balance when used alongside dietary therapy. This medication contributes to controlling blood cholesterol levels, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
