This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by combination therapy of Telmisartan and Amlodipine.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken once daily, with one tablet, regardless of meals, and it is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., morning). For patients with uncontrolled blood pressure under Telmisartan/Amlodipine combination therapy, this medication 40/5/12.5 milligrams may be administered, and dosage adjustments should be made with an interval of at least 2 weeks based on the patient's blood pressure response. The maximum dosage for this medication is 80/5/25 milligrams.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should not take it. Patients with impaired liver function or ongoing liver disease may experience severe side effects such as hepatic coma while taking this medication, so caution is required. Patients with very poor kidney function should avoid this medication as some components may burden the kidneys, and patients with mild kidney function should take it carefully under a doctor's guidance. Patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of this medication or related drugs, or those who have previously experienced allergic reactions, should not take it. Lactating women should also stop breastfeeding or avoid this medication, as it may transfer to the baby. This medication can cause low blood pressure, dizziness, and electrolyte imbalance (e.g., abnormal potassium or sodium levels), so blood pressure and blood tests should be monitored regularly during treatment.
