Atorvastatin helps effectively control LDL cholesterol levels in adult patients at high risk for coronary heart disease. However, in patients with mixed dyslipidemia, triglyceride levels may not be adequately controlled. This medication plays a crucial role, particularly in lowering LDL cholesterol to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, atorvastatin monotherapy is primarily used to manage LDL cholesterol levels adequately. It aids in improving cardiovascular health and is utilized for the treatment of dyslipidemia.
