Precautions

This medication contains terbinafine and is used for the treatment of nail fungal infections. Individuals who have a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any ingredient in this medication should not use it. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and women who are breastfeeding should consult with a physician before using this medication. The safety for pregnant women has not been fully established, and nursing mothers should use this medication with caution as it may be excreted in breast milk and could affect the baby. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age are advised not to use this medication since its safety and efficacy have not been adequately proven. Individuals with multiple severely affected nails or those with underlying conditions such as diabetes, immune disorders, circulatory disorders, or a history of skin diseases should consult with a specialist before use. Additionally, it is important to consult with a doctor or pharmacist if there is significant damage, pain to the nails, or if other medications are being taken. If skin redness or increased irritation occurs while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. This medication is for external use only, and contact with other body parts should be avoided until the applied area is completely dry. If it comes into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes, irritation may occur, and if so, it should be thoroughly rinsed with clean water. It is recommended to avoid using nail polish or other cosmetic nail products while using this medication. It does not significantly affect driving or operating machinery, but caution should be taken as there may be stinging due to the ethanol content when applied to damaged skin. Arbitrary discontinuation of the treatment period may prevent complete resolution of the infection, worsening the condition, so the recommended duration must be adhered to. If a dose is missed, apply it as soon as possible, and resume the regular schedule for the next dose. If this medication is accidentally ingested, it is crucial to visit a doctor, pharmacist, or nearby medical facility immediately. This medication has minimal systemic absorption, so the likelihood of interactions with other drugs is very low. It is advisable not to apply other medications to the affected area concurrently. In the case of overuse, systemic side effects are rare, but treatment may be necessary based on the symptoms. This medication must be kept out of the reach of children and stored in its original container with the lid tightly closed. No special temperature control is required, but it should be kept sealed to prevent it from drying out and stored away from light, heat, and open flames.
