Precautions

This medication is a topical agent containing terbinafine hydrochloride and is used for the treatment of nail fungus. First, it is safe not to use this medication if one is allergic to any of its ingredients or has sensitivity. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as those who are breastfeeding, must consult a professional before using this medication. In particular, care should be taken to ensure that newborns and infants do not come into contact with the treatment area. This medication is not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age since safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently confirmed. Additionally, if the nails are significantly affected or severely damaged, or if the patient has diabetes or immune-related diseases, or circulatory disorders, it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. It is also important to consult a professional if you are taking other medications or have recently taken any. Caution is required if there are conditions where alcohol consumption may exacerbate irritation. If excessive irritation, redness, or pain occurs on the skin during the use of this medication, stop using it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. When using, apply this medication externally only and be careful not to let the treatment area come into contact with other areas until fully dry. If it comes into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes, it may cause irritation, and it should be rinsed immediately with clean water. It is advisable to avoid using nail polish or nail cosmetics during the use of this medication. This medication contains ethanol, which may cause a stinging sensation when applied to damaged skin, so caution is advised. If the treatment period is interrupted, the fungus may remain, causing symptoms to worsen again, so it is crucial to use it continuously for the recommended duration. If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as possible, and continue using it as scheduled. If this medication is accidentally swallowed, seek medical attention from a doctor, pharmacist, or hospital immediately. This medication is absorbed very minimally into the body, so the possibility of interaction with other drugs is low, but it is best to avoid applying other medications on the treatment area simultaneously. In case of excessive use, special systemic symptoms may not appear, but appropriate treatment should be provided based on the symptoms. When storing this medication, keep it out of reach of children and store it in its original container with the lid tightly closed. While no special temperature conditions are required, it is advisable to avoid direct sunlight and store it in the outer box. Because it is flammable, do not store it near heat or fire, and it is safe to use within six months after opening.
