Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

In patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled even with combination therapy of telmisartan and amlodipine, additional treatment options should be considered. Essential hypertension can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease if blood pressure is not maintained within the normal range; therefore, it is vital to effectively manage blood pressure through medication adjustments and lifestyle modifications. Appropriate treatment suited to this condition can help prevent complications from hypertension and improve health.
