Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with hypercalcemia (excess calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a condition causing unknown systemic inflammation), or those with kidney diseases. Additionally, individuals allergic to this medication or its components should refrain from taking it. Babies under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and patients with severe renal failure should also avoid this drug. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to take drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids simultaneously. Children under 1 year, patients currently receiving treatment from a physician, children exposed to sunlight who have normal diets, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, nursing individuals, premature infants, or infants should consult a doctor, dentist, or pharmacist before taking this medication. This is because Vitamin D components may be secreted in breast milk, leading to hypercalcemia in newborns. Patients with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, those taking cardiac glycosides, and a history of kidney stones should also consult a professional before taking it. If nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, flushed face, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occurs during administration, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. Additionally, overdose may result in gastrointestinal disorders, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, and prolonged use may lead to hypercalcemia or stone formation. Caution is required when taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene due to the risk of hyperkalemia. If symptoms do not improve after approximately one month of use, consult a professional. It is crucial to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines, and when administered to children, guidance and supervision by a guardian are necessary. It is advised to avoid teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, during or just before/after taking this medication. When storing, keep the medication in a sealed container away from children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in a cool, dry place. Also, to prevent misuse and maintain quality, do not transfer the medication to another container.
