Precautions

This drug should not be taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it may cause serious harm to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and if necessary, substituted with other safe medications. Patients with liver function impairment or ongoing liver disease should use this drug with caution due to the risk of hepatic encephalopathy. In patients with severe kidney disease, some components of this drug may worsen kidney function, so it should be avoided or administered cautiously. Patients with an allergy to this drug’s ingredients or similar medications should not be administered this drug. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, patients with cholestatic disease, patients with severe liver dysfunction, and patients with severe aortic stenosis should not take this medication. Caution is advised in diabetic patients or patients with moderate to severe renal impairment when used in combination with certain medications as it can be risky. When administered to the elderly, this drug should be started at a low dose and gradually increased, as electrolyte abnormalities such as hyponatremia or hypokalemia may occur, necessitating regular monitoring. During the use of this drug, side effects such as dizziness, hypotension, headache, and nausea may occur; thus, caution is needed while driving or operating dangerous machinery. As with other antihypertensives, excessive blood pressure reduction may increase the risk of myocardial infarction or stroke, so appropriate dose adjustments are essential. This drug may interact with specific medications, so if other medications are being taken, it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and cardiac dysfunction may appear, and appropriate medical treatment must be sought immediately.
