Precautions

This medication should not be administered to specific patients. Patients who are allergic to this drug or its ingredients or have a history of hypersensitivity, patients taking specific antiviral drugs, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use this medication. Patients with liver or kidney impairment, as well as the elderly, should use this medication with caution. This is because safety and efficacy in patients with liver or kidney disorders have not been adequately established. While taking this medication, various adverse reactions may occur. Common symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, headache, and dizziness, while rare cases of skin rash or liver function abnormalities have also been reported. Long-term use of this medication may result in vitamin B12 deficiency, so regular monitoring is necessary. Additionally, due to the inhibition of gastric acid secretion, the risk of bacterial infection in the gastrointestinal tract may increase, so if diarrhea persists, medical consultation is advisable. This medication suppresses gastric acid secretion, and therefore may interact with other medications. Particular caution is warranted when taken with specific antiviral drugs, antifungal agents, or iron preparations, as the effects may decrease or increase. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and those planning to become pregnant should consult with a healthcare provider. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been sufficiently established in children and adolescents, so its use is not recommended. Elderly individuals should exercise caution due to the potential for liver and kidney function decline. No specific symptoms of overdose have been reported; however, if symptoms occur, immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers as it is important for maintaining its quality.
