Essential hypertension

Essential hypertension often cannot be adequately controlled, which leads to the use of combination therapy with Telmisartan and Amlodipine (Amlodipine). These medications dilate blood vessels to lower blood pressure and reduce the strain on the heart. They are particularly effective for patients having difficulty controlling blood pressure and also help in preventing cardiovascular complications. This combination therapy plays an important role in blood pressure management for patients with hypertension. Therefore, it is used to improve essential hypertension.

Precautions
This medication can pose serious risks to the fetus during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, and should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant.
Patients with impaired liver function or those undergoing progressive liver disease should exercise caution as serious problems such as hepatic coma may occur when taking this medication.
Patients with severe renal disease may experience deterioration of kidney function, such as elevated blood urea nitrogen levels, due to the diuretic component included in this medication, so it should be taken cautiously.
Patients with hypersensitivity to any components of this medication or those who have experienced allergic reactions in the past should not receive it, especially women who are pregnant or nursing, patients with severe liver impairment, and those with severe heart valve disease.
Patients with very low blood pressure, severe renal failure, electrolyte imbalances, or those taking specific medications concurrently must consult a physician before taking this medication.
This medication lowers blood pressure, which may cause dizziness or hypotension symptoms upon initial use; in such cases, it is necessary to lie down or rest immediately.
Regular blood tests are recommended because there could be imbalances in electrolytes, particularly potassium, sodium, and calcium levels.
As this medication can affect the liver and kidneys, patients with impaired liver or kidney function should discuss this with their physician before taking and should periodically undergo function tests while on therapy.
Caution is needed while driving or operating hazardous machinery as drowsiness or dizziness may occur.
Inform healthcare professionals if taking other antihypertensive drugs, specific diuretics, potassium supplements, or lithium preparations, as interactions may increase side effects.
Overdose can lead to hypotension, dizziness, irregular heartbeats, and renal failure, requiring immediate medical attention.
This medication has not been established for safety and efficacy in children, so it is not recommended for patients under 18.
Elderly patients may have slower metabolism of this medication's components, so it is safe to start with a lower dose and increase it gradually.
