This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat, and heaviness in the head caused by the common cold, allergic rhinitis, or sinusitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults 15 years and older: Take 1 tablet three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause severe skin rashes and blister-like symptoms. If such symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Children under 3 months of age or under 15 years old should not take this medication, and those with a history of allergies to this medication or its ingredients should also avoid it. Additionally, it should not be used by individuals currently taking specific antidepressants or psychiatric medications, or those who have recently stopped taking such medications within the last 2 weeks, and patients with uncontrolled hypertension should also avoid it. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic conditions should not take it. It is advisable not to take this medication simultaneously with other cold or allergy medicines that contain antihistamines. Those with a history of allergies, previous allergic reactions to medications, cardiovascular or renal diseases, glaucoma, urinary issues, or high fever should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. It is particularly important for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, older adults, and individuals currently undergoing treatment to consult with a healthcare professional. Care should be taken especially by those with chronic cough, severe cough, excessive phlegm, or those who have experienced abdominal pain or bleeding as a result of this medication previously. If symptoms such as vomiting, severe headache, rash, itching, or urinary difficulties occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Furthermore, if symptoms do not improve after taking this medication 5 to 6 times, stop taking it and seek medical advice. Children under 2 years old should generally not use this medication unless in special circumstances. Be sure to follow the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines, and avoid prolonged use. This medication may cause drowsiness; therefore, avoid driving or operating machinery, and do not consume alcohol while taking it. Finally, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container to maintain its quality.

Severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), hemorrhagic stroke, symptoms related to hyperaldosteronism (decreased urine output, swelling of the face and extremities, increased blood pressure, headache), reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances)
