In particular, it is used to improve bone health in pregnant and breastfeeding women, children, and the elderly.

Precautions
This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis, which is a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown origin, as well as those with kidney diseases. Additionally, individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, kidney stone patients, and those with severe renal failure should avoid this medication. It is advisable not to take certain medications such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, and antacids simultaneously while using this medication. Patients undergoing treatment or those who are pregnant or potentially pregnant, as well as breastfeeding individuals, should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Care should be taken, especially since vitamin D can be secreted in breast milk, potentially causing hypercalcemia in infants. Individuals with heart or circulatory issues, kidney disorders, or hypoproteinemia, those using cardiac glycosides, or those with a history of kidney stones should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rashes occur while taking this medication, it should be immediately discontinued, and the patient should consult a specialist. Overdosing on vitamin B12 can lead to hematological abnormalities, and high doses may cause gastrointestinal symptoms, heart failure, swelling, and other side effects. Long-term use may result in hypercalcemia or stone disease, so caution is advised. Furthermore, combined use with certain diuretics may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. If overdose occurs or if symptoms do not improve after taking for more than a month, consultation with a specialist is necessary. When taking this medication, it is important to strictly adhere to prescribed dosages and avoid teas containing tannins like green tea or black tea before and after administration. For storage, keep it out of reach of children, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight, and in a tightly sealed container to maintain its quality and prevent misuse.
