This medicine is used for onychomycosis, that is, nail fungus occurring on the hands or toenails.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

For the first 4 weeks, apply once daily. After that, apply once a week. Apply only to the nails, and remove any nail polish or other cosmetics from the skin adjacent to the nails before applying. Before applying, clean the area thoroughly and use only after it is completely dry. Apply a thin layer to the entire surface of the diseased area and extend about 5mm from the nails, and if possible, below the edges of the nails and to the skin under the nails.

Precautions

This medicine is an external agent made with Terbinafine Hydrochloride, used for the treatment of fungal infections of the nails. Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to Terbinafine or any component of this medicine. This medicine does not affect driving or operating machinery; however, application to damaged skin may cause stinging due to the ethanol content. If you do not adhere to the treatment period, the infection may not completely heal and could worsen again, so it should be used consistently during the recommended period. If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as possible, and if it is close to the time for the next dose, apply it only once to continue the treatment. If this medicine is accidentally swallowed, inform a doctor or pharmacist immediately and visit the nearest hospital. This medicine is minimally absorbed in the body, so the potential for interactions with other medications is very low. It is recommended not to use other medicines on the infected area during treatment. It is rare to exceed the recommended dosage, and while no significant systemic symptoms are expected with an overdose, appropriate treatment is necessary depending on the symptoms. This medicine should be kept out of the reach of children, stored in its original container, and the lid should be securely closed to prevent the contents from drying out. No special temperature control is needed during storage, but it should be kept away from direct sunlight and should not be placed near heat or fire. It is recommended to use it within 6 months after opening.
