Adjunct treatment for acute diarrhea
The most important aspect of supportive treatment for acute diarrhea is the replenishment of fluids and electrolytes. To prevent dehydration, adequate fluid intake and the use of oral rehydration solutions are recommended. Additionally, rest and a diet that is easy to digest are encouraged. If necessary, medication can also be administered to alleviate symptoms. These supportive treatments help in the recovery from acute diarrhea and improve symptoms.
