View approved original text

This medication is a combination designed for patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control even with amlodipine and valsartan used together, as well as for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia. In other words, it is a medication used for patients who have difficulty controlling blood pressure and those who need to improve cholesterol levels. Amlodipine and valsartan work to lower blood pressure and maintain vascular health, while pitavastatin reduces bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride levels and increases good cholesterol (HDL), improving blood lipid balance. This medication helps to manage hypertension and dyslipidemia together, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Thus, it is effectively used for patients who have both hypertension and cholesterol problems.
