This medication is used for patients who need to treat both hypertension and dyslipidemia. For hypertension, it is used when blood pressure treatment is difficult with monotherapy of amlodipine or losartan, or as initial treatment with a combination agent is required for stage 2 hypertension patients to reach treatment goals. In the treatment of dyslipidemia, it is given in conjunction with diet therapy to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B protein, and triglyceride levels, and to increase HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia. Before treatment, secondary causes, such as diabetes and hypothyroidism, should be confirmed, and it is used when diet and non-drug measures are insufficient. This medication effectively controls blood pressure and lipid levels to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
