This medication effectively controls hypertension with the combination of Amlodipine and Losartan, and is used as initial treatment for patients with essential hypertension or stage 2 hypertension where blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. The Rosuvastatin component helps reduce blood cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia who are not controlled adequately by diet, thereby slowing the progression of atherosclerosis and reducing cardiovascular disease risk. It helps decrease the risk of problems that may occur after stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization. Therefore, this medication can be used safely and effectively in patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia.
