Precautions

This medication is an anti-inflammatory analgesic made with Flurbiprofen. There are patients who should not use this medication. First, those who have experienced allergic reactions to this drug or other Flurbiprofen formulations must not use it under any circumstances. Also, patients with certain types of asthma known as aspirin-induced asthma or with a history of such conditions may experience asthma attacks if they use this medication, so it should not be administered. Patients with bronchial asthma should exercise special caution when using this medication due to the risk of inducing asthma attacks. While using this medication, symptoms such as redness, rash, itching, burning sensation, and contact dermatitis may appear on the skin. If these symptoms occur, the use of this medication should be stopped immediately. If initial symptoms of asthma attacks, such as wheezing and shortness of breath, occur, the use of this medication should be stopped immediately. Asthma attacks can occur within hours after applying the patch. The therapeutic effect of this medication focuses on alleviating symptoms and is not intended to treat the underlying cause. If there is an infection on the skin, using this medication may hide the infection, so appropriate antibiotics or antifungals should be used in conjunction, and careful observation is necessary with accompanying inflammation. When using this for chronic conditions such as degenerative arthritis, one should consider other treatment methods in addition to medication and carefully monitor for the occurrence of side effects. In early and mid-pregnancy, it is advisable not to use this medication unless absolutely necessary. If it must be used, dosage should be minimized and the duration of treatment kept as short as possible. In late pregnancy, this medication should never be used as it can harm the heart, lungs, and kidneys of the fetus, and increase bleeding risks for both mother and child, potentially delaying labor. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently verified for children, so its use is discouraged. Elderly patients should be closely monitored for skin conditions and use it cautiously. This medication should not be applied to wounds, damaged skin, or mucous membranes, and should not be used on areas with eczema or rashes. Before application, the area of application should be cleaned of sweat, as this will help the drug absorb well and enhance its effectiveness.
