Nacoxphen Soft Capsules (Naproxen)

Adult dose

1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: 250-500mg of naproxen orally, twice a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Administer 750mg orally as the initial dose, then 250mg orally every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: 500mg orally as the initial dose, followed by 250mg every 6-8 hours.

This medication can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day; therefore, it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, so those with heart conditions or risk factors should exercise particular caution, and seek immediate medical attention if cardiovascular symptoms occur. Serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations can occur, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should use this medication cautiously. Patients with peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, liver, heart, or kidney dysfunction, hypertension, and drug hypersensitivity should not take this medication. Various side effects such as hypersensitivity reactions, difficulty breathing, rashes, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver function abnormalities, kidney issues, neurological disorders, skin rashes, etc., may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Taking this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or specific medications may increase the risk of side effects, so it's crucial to inform medical personnel about any current medications and consult them. During pregnancy, especially in the later stages, this medication can be harmful to the fetus, so it should be avoided; breastfeeding women should also refrain from using this medication. The safety of this medication has not been established in children, especially infants under 2 years of age, so its use is not recommended. Elderly individuals have a higher risk of side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, so they should take the lowest effective dose cautiously. For those taking this medication for a long term, regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are necessary, and it may be stopped if any abnormalities are found. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness, indigestion, and vomiting may occur, so caution is advised. Store it out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container.
