Treatment of essential hypertension and reduction of cardiovascular disease risk
This medication helps to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It is also used to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular disease in patients over the age of 55 with a high risk of cardiovascular disease, such as those with a history of coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, stroke, or transient ischemic attacks, or those with high-risk diabetes resulting in damage to target organs. This medication can be an alternative for patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. It is effective in protecting cardiovascular health and preventing related complications.

If necessary, the dose may be increased to 80 mg once daily. Maximum antihypertensive effects will be observed 4 to 8 weeks after starting the treatment when increasing the dosage. 2. Reduction of Cardiovascular Disease Risk Administer this medication as 80 mg orally once daily with water as recommended, and it can be taken regardless of meals.
