Precautions

This medication contains an active ingredient known as Ginkgo Biloba Extract, and individuals with allergies to this ingredient or any other components should not take it. Because there is insufficient safety research on children and adolescents, it is advisable for individuals under 18 years of age not to use this medication. Pregnant women should also refrain from taking this medication, and individuals with lactose-related genetic disorders should avoid it. Care should be taken when paired with blood-thinning medications or anticoagulants, as the efficacy may be increased during treatment with this medication. Additionally, this medication can affect the metabolism of other drugs in the liver, requiring careful adjustment of doses and monitoring when combined with certain antihypertensives or asthma treatments. Individuals at risk for bleeding or those taking medications that may induce bleeding, breastfeeding women, and patients with epilepsy must consult with a professional before using this medication. If an upcoming surgery is scheduled, it is advised to stop taking this medication at least 36 hours prior to reduce the risk of bleeding. The duration of treatment is typically more than 8 weeks; if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months, consult a physician. If abnormal reactions such as nausea, headaches, insomnia, anxiety, skin rashes, or itching occur while taking this medication, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. Long-term use may pose a risk of bleeding, and severe allergic reactions have been reported in rare cases. This medication is not a treatment for hypertension; hypertensive patients should receive separate treatment and should not manage their blood pressure solely with this medication.
