Precautions
This drug should not be used in certain patients.
People allergic to this drug or its ingredients should not take it.
Patients with bowel obstruction or perforation, or suspected cases, patients whose stomach does not move properly, and patients with bowel obstruction should not use this drug.
People with serious bowel diseases such as toxic colitis or toxic megacolon may be at risk if they take this drug.
Patients with severe renal impairment, severe dehydration, ascites, or poor cardiac function should also not use this drug.
This drug can affect fluid and electrolyte status, so caution should be used in patients with abnormalities.
Patients with a history of seizures or those at high risk of seizures, patients with heart rhythm problems, or those taking medications that affect renal function also need caution.
Patients with inflammation or ulcers in the colon mucosa, patients with severe active colitis, and people with decreased vomiting reflex should also exercise caution.
Taking this drug may cause diarrhea, so adequate hydration should be taken before and after administration.
If symptoms of vomiting or dehydration occur, electrolyte levels and renal function should be checked through blood tests.
Electrolyte abnormalities can cause serious side effects such as cardiac arrhythmias, seizures, or renal impairment.
This drug can temporarily raise blood uric acid levels, so care should be taken in patients with gout to avoid acute gout attacks.
In patients at high risk of cardiac arrhythmias, careful administration should be considered with electrocardiogram testing.
This drug can cause ulcers in the colon mucosa, so patients with inflammatory bowel diseases should consult their physician before taking it.
