View approved original text

Pitavastatin 2 mg monotherapy effectively manages LDL-cholesterol levels in high-risk adults for coronary artery disease. However, this treatment alone may have limited effects on improving elevated triglycerides and low HDL-cholesterol in mixed dyslipidemia. Therefore, it is also important to manage other dyslipidemia levels alongside LDL-cholesterol management in such patients. Pitavastatin is primarily used to lower LDL-cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
