Prevention of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-induced peptic ulcers
This medication is used to prevent NSAID-induced peptic ulcers, namely gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, which can occur when using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs are effective in alleviating pain and inflammation but can damage the gastric mucosa, leading to ulcers. This drug reduces such side effects and protects patients' gastric health. Therefore, it is important for those receiving NSAID treatment to take this medication to lower the risk of developing gastric and duodenal ulcers. This helps in preventing gastrointestinal complications. It effectively and safely prevents ulcer formation associated with NSAID use, protecting health.
Prevention of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-induced peptic ulcers (gastric and duodenal ulcers) Administer 20mg orally once daily for 24 weeks. The duration of the comparative clinical trial did not exceed 24 weeks. This medicine may be administered without regard to meals.
This medication should not be administered to those who are allergic to this drug or its components or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions in the past. Additionally, individuals taking medications that include atazanavir, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine should not use this drug. It is recommended that pregnant or nursing women do not take this medication. This drug contains lactose, so individuals with a genetic issue related to lactose digestion should avoid using it. The safety and efficacy of this drug have not been fully established in patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, so caution is advised. Elderly individuals may have weakened liver and kidney function, thus care should be taken when they use this medication. This drug is used to reduce gastric acid to prevent gastric or duodenal ulcers, but it is essential to obtain accurate diagnoses when malignancies are suspected. Reducing gastric acid may lead to an increase in bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, slightly raising the risk of infection, hence symptoms should be monitored carefully. Long-term use may increase the risk of fractures related to osteoporosis, so it is advisable to take this medication for the necessary minimum duration. Prolonged use of over 3 months may lower blood magnesium levels, so regular monitoring of serum magnesium levels is necessary for those using this medication long-term or taking other medications that may lower magnesium. Patients who need to continue taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should use this drug for the prevention of gastric ulcers, and it is important to check for any history of gastric ulcers before administration. This medication reduces gastric acid, which may affect the absorption of oral medications; therefore, caution is needed when taking it with certain other medications. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to use this drug, and nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding. The safety and efficacy for children and adolescents have not been sufficiently established, so caution is required for their use. No reports of serious side effects from overdose exist, but careful observation of the patient's condition is necessary in the case of overdose, and appropriate treatment should be administered as needed. Keep out of reach of children, and do not transfer to another container as this is important for maintaining the medication's safety and quality.
