Rivapen Capsule (Pitavastatin Calcium, Fenofibrate)

Adult dose

As a recommended dose, take one capsule once daily immediately after a meal.

This medication carries a risk of muscle problems, so if symptoms such as muscle pain or weakness appear, consult a physician immediately. Particular caution should be exercised in patients over 65 years of age, those with poor kidney function, or those with hypothyroidism. This medication is not administered to patients with specific liver diseases or severe gallbladder disease. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as lactating women, should also avoid taking this medication. Regular liver function tests should be conducted during the course of this treatment, and if liver function levels significantly increase, discontinuation of the medication is necessary. This medication also carries a risk of side effects such as pancreatitis or thrombosis, so healthcare professionals should be informed immediately if related symptoms arise. It is recommended to take this medication with food, ideally right after meals. Dizziness may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery after taking this medication. It should not be used in children or adolescents under 18 years of age. When storing this medication, keep it out of reach of children and in its original container.

Serious side effects

Urticaria, angioedema, rhabdomyolysis, renal failure, severe edema, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, jaundice, liver dysfunction, acute hypersensitivity, anaphylaxis, thromboembolism (pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis), pancreatitis, severe skin reactions (erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis), severe allergic reactions, severe cutaneous adverse reactions, respiratory issues, liver problems (jaundice), serious neurological symptoms.
