Relief of oral inflammation (gingivitis, oral thrush, etc.) and treatment of infections
This medication is effective in relieving various inflammations such as inflammation caused by prosthetics, oral candidiasis like oral thrush, gingivitis, pharyngitis, and aphthous stomatitis. It is also used for sterilization and disinfection to prevent infections after periodontal surgery. This medicine helps improve symptoms of inflammation and infection in the mouth.
For adults, rinse with 15mL for about 1 minute, twice a day; in case of stomatitis due to dentures, soak the dentures in 15mL twice a day for 15 minutes.
This medication may disrupt the normal bacterial balance in the mouth, so it is advisable not to use it for an extended period. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication should not use it. Care should be taken when using this medication in individuals with asthma or other allergic conditions, or those with a family history of such conditions. This medication contains propylene glycol, so individuals allergic to this substance should use it cautiously. During use, discoloration of teeth or the inside of the mouth may occur, and tartar buildup may increase, as well as changes in oral sensation. Particularly in children, the mucous membranes in the mouth may peel or experience slight irritation. Very rarely, severe reactions like anaphylactic shock may occur; if symptoms such as nausea, sweating, dizziness, or shortness of breath occur, use should be stopped immediately and a hospital visit is recommended. Skin rashes or hives may occur infrequently, and if these symptoms appear, use should be discontinued. This medication may cause temporary inflammation of the salivary glands. Antibiotics should be used for typical bacterial infections, and this medication is usually not used for more than 10 days. After using this medication in patients with both gingivitis and periodontitis, treatment effects for periodontitis should not be judged based solely on gingivitis conditions. Care should be taken as discoloration may occur on the surfaces of teeth, prosthetics, and the back of the tongue. Individuals using rough or gap-filled prosthetics should use this medication cautiously, and those who dislike discoloration should avoid it. Pregnant women should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should use it cautiously as well. Its safety and effectiveness in children under 18 years old is not well established, so it is advisable not to use it for this age group. This medication should only be used in the mouth and must never be used for oral ingestion. Keep out of reach of children and store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is also safer not to keep it near flames.
