Who takes it
Adults
Adult dose
Adults: Take 150mg once daily in the morning. The dose may be increased up to a maximum of 250mg per day. The dose should be adjusted when this medicine is coadministered with CYP3A4 substrate drugs such as triazolam and cyclosporine. Drugs eliminated through CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 metabolism, such as phenytoin, or primarily through CYP2C19 metabolism, such as diazepam, propranolol, and S-mephenytoin, have prolonged elimination when coadministered with this medicine; therefore, dose reduction and monitoring for toxicity are required. Precautions

This medication may cause abnormal drowsiness during use, so the level of drowsiness should be checked frequently, and caution should be taken when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Severe skin rash may occur, and if a rash develops, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Severe allergic reactions such as angioedema or anaphylaxis may occur, and if facial or neck swelling or difficulty breathing symptoms appear, immediate treatment is necessary. Rarely, severe systemic reactions known as multiorgan hypersensitivity may occur, so the use should be discontinued if symptoms such as fever, rash, or fatigue are present. Psychiatric symptoms may worsen, so notify a doctor immediately if changes such as depression, anxiety, or hallucinations occur. Patients with heart disease or hypertension should undergo an ECG before administration and monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly during treatment. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, children, and patients with severe hypertension or arrhythmia should not take this medication. Patients with anxiety disorders or a history of mental illness should take with caution under a healthcare professional's guidance. Elderly patients with weakened liver and kidney function may require dose adjustments. Side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth, and fatigue may commonly occur, so consult a doctor if symptoms are severe. There may be interactions with other medications, so if you are taking other drugs, it is essential to inform your healthcare provider, especially since the effectiveness of oral contraceptives may decrease, necessitating alternative contraceptive methods. In case of overdose, symptoms such as insomnia, confusion, hallucinations, and heart problems may appear, and immediate medical attention is required. This medication may cause dependence, so its use should be strictly managed according to a doctor's instructions.
