This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension who have not adequately controlled blood pressure with telmisartan and amlodipine alone. Additionally, rosuvastatin serves as an adjunct to diet for patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia to lower cholesterol levels and slow the progression of atherosclerosis. It is also beneficial for patients with familial hypercholesterolemia or dysbetalipoproteinemia. Furthermore, this drug reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, particularly stroke, myocardial infarction, and the recurrence risk after arterial revascularization. Therefore, this medication effectively improves the condition of patients with both hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
