This medication is used for the improvement of hypertrophic or keloidal scars, acne scars, and surgical scars that may occur after treating wound tissue. If scars become prominent or cause discomfort after the wound has healed, using this medication can reduce the appearance and size of the scars, thus assisting in maintaining cleaner skin condition. Therefore, it can aid in scar management after wounding.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply 1-2 times daily to the wound and surrounding skin, gently massaging. For hypertrophic scars, it can be applied thickly the day before and secured with a bandage to be applied overnight.

Children's dosage

Apply 1-2 times daily to the wound and surrounding skin, gently massaging.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to its ingredients. It should not be used in babies under 6 months of age. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to heparin, or who experience prolonged bleeding or low platelet counts should not use this medication. This medication should not be applied to unhealed wounds or incision sites. It should not be used on mucous membranes such as the mouth or eyes, and in areas of infected lesions with pus. Pregnant women should not use this medication. During the use of this medication, it should not be taken with blood-thinning medications, especially with drugs like coumarin, aspirin, dipyridamole, dextran, and streptokinase, as they may increase the risk of bleeding. This medication should not be applied around the eyes or mucous membranes. Care should be taken to avoid exposing the application site to sunlight or strong light. Women who are breastfeeding should consult with a healthcare professional before using this medication. If any adverse reactions occur, such as allergic symptoms while using this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. For children, especially infants under 2 years old, application to large areas or prolonged binding with a bandage should be avoided, and adult supervision is necessary when the child is using it. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and kept in its original packaging tightly closed. Transferring it to another container may result in improper use or deterioration of quality.

Serious side effects

If an allergic reaction occurs (hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness), discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.

Mild side effects

Do not apply around the eyes or mucous membranes, increased penetration of active ingredients due to bandage sealing, do not fix with bandage for use in children, especially infants, supervision and guidance by an adult is required when used by children
