Treatment of onychomycosis (fungal nail infection of hands and feet)
This medication is used to treat onychomycosis, commonly known as nail fungus affecting the hands and feet.
Apply once daily for the first 4 weeks. After that, apply once a week. Remove nail polish or other cosmetics from the skin adjacent to the nails, and apply a thin layer to the entire surface of the nails and the affected area, extending about 5 mm from the nails. If possible, apply under the edge of the nails and to the skin underneath the nails using an applicator. After application, allow to dry completely for about 30 seconds.
This medication is a topical solution containing terbinafine and is used for the treatment of fungal infections that occur on the skin or nails. Do not use this medication if you are allergic to terbinafine or any other ingredients in this medicine. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and those who are breastfeeding should consult with a doctor before using this medication. Especially for breastfeeding mothers, this medication may be secreted into breast milk, so it should be used cautiously considering the potential risks and benefits to the baby. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been sufficiently established in children or adolescents under 18 years of age, thus its use is not recommended in this age group. If the nail or skin infection is severe or if you have diabetes, an immune disease, blood circulation problems, skin conditions, or are taking other medications, it is important to consult a healthcare professional before use. During use, this medication does not affect driving or operating machinery, but caution is advised with application to damaged skin as it may cause stinging sensation. If swallowed, immediately contact a physician or pharmacist or visit a hospital. This medication has very low systemic absorption, so interactions with other drugs are unlikely, but avoid using other medications on the same area being treated.
