Mycam Pyrroxicam Gel (Pyrroxicam)

Adult dosage

Adults: Apply 1g (approximately 3cm) to the affected area 3~4 times daily and rub gently to help it absorb.

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Individuals allergic to this medication or similar components, or those with hypersensitivity, should not use it. Patients who have experienced asthma attacks or allergic reactions due to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers should also avoid using it. This medication is not for use in children under 14 years of age. Patients with bronchial asthma or allergies to propylene glycol should use this medication with caution. Using this medication may cause side effects such as itching, redness, rashes on the skin, and if severe, should be discontinued. Long-term or excessive use may result in nausea, gastrointestinal discomfort, respiratory difficulties, or renal problems, so caution is advised. While this medication helps alleviate inflammation and pain, it does not treat the underlying cause, so it should be understood and used accordingly. In cases of skin infection, the infection may be masked, so it is necessary to concurrently use antibiotics or antifungals and monitor the condition closely. When used for chronic conditions, other treatment methods should be employed in conjunction with medication, and the patient's condition should be monitored closely. Pregnant women, especially in the last three months of pregnancy, should not use this medication as it may delay delivery or cause bleeding in newborns and heart and kidney problems in the fetus. In early stages of pregnancy, safety has not been fully confirmed, so caution is needed. Breastfeeding women should also avoid this medication as it may be excreted in breast milk. Use in young children, especially in preterm infants or infants, should be avoided as safety has not been established. Elderly patients are at higher risk for side effects, so this medication should be used cautiously at the minimum effective dose. This medication should not be applied to skin with lesions, on or around the eyes, or mucous membranes, nor should it be used in a manner that covers the area with occlusive dressings. Caution should be taken as irritation may occur with skin damage.
