This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled even with the combination of telmisartan and amlodipine. Furthermore, rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct therapy for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia that are not controlled by diet and exercise alone. Rosuvastatin particularly lowers total cholesterol and LDL levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis, and is also helpful in treating patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and dysbetalipoproteinemia. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and postoperative vascular reintervention in adults with a high risk of cardiovascular disease. This medication improves cardiovascular health by managing both hypertension and dyslipidemia simultaneously.
