This medication should not be used by patients with hypersensitivity to its ingredients or severe liver or kidney dysfunction. It should be used cautiously in patients with epilepsy or those with a history of seizures, or in patients who are at high risk of developing epilepsy. Additionally, co-administration with NMDA antagonists such as amantadine, ketamine, or dextromethorphan may increase central nervous system side effects, so it is better to avoid such combinations. Patients should be monitored carefully in situations where urinary pH may increase, such as dietary changes or certain urinary tract infections. Caution is advised for patients with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, or uncontrolled hypertension, as the safety of this medication has not been fully established in these populations. While taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headaches, constipation, drowsiness, and hypertension may occur, and if symptoms are severe, consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended. There may be interactions with other medications, particularly NMDA antagonists, levodopa, dopamine agonists, anticholinergic medications, barbiturates, antipsychotic medications, and skeletal muscle relaxants, so caution is necessary when taken together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks to the fetus when using this medication. If breastfeeding, it is advisable to discontinue nursing when administering this medication due to the possibility of transmission through breast milk. For children and adolescents under 18 years of age, its safety and efficacy have not been established, so it is preferable not to use it in this population. In case of overdose, central nervous system symptoms and gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, and since there is no specific antidote, appropriate treatment based on symptoms is needed. This medication may reduce the patient's responsiveness, increasing the risk of accidents while driving or operating machinery, so caution is necessary. Finally, keep this medication out of reach of children, and do not transfer it to other containers as this is safer and better for maintaining quality.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
