This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with monotherapy and need to take rosuvastatin. The combination of telmisartan and amlodipine effectively lowers blood pressure and helps improve hypertension. Rosuvastatin primarily lowers serum cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia that cannot be managed solely by diet, thereby delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia and dysbetalipoproteinemia. For patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease, a reduction in the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization procedures can also be expected. Therefore, this medication is used to improve the condition of patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia.
