Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and neonate if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, and must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with allergies to this medication or its components, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients undergoing kidney dialysis, patients with severe liver dysfunction, patients with biliary obstruction, and diabetic patients with certain kidney diseases should not use this medication. Patients with low blood volume or reduced sodium levels may experience symptoms of low blood pressure, so they should start taking this medication slowly under medical supervision when beginning treatment or increasing the dose. Patients with impaired kidney function, renal artery hypertension, heart valve diseases, and primary aldosteronism should take this medication with caution and consult a healthcare professional if necessary. Side effects such as headaches, dizziness, indigestion, cough, skin rashes, and muscle stiffness can occur, and rarely, serious kidney issues or cardiovascular abnormalities may arise. Low blood pressure or electrolyte imbalances may occur during treatment, so blood pressure and blood electrolyte levels should be monitored regularly, particularly since there is a risk of elevated potassium levels. Drug interactions may occur if taken with other antihypertensive medications, diuretics, potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, so patients must inform their healthcare provider of all current medications. This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding women, and safety and efficacy in children and adolescents under 18 years old have not been established. Elderly patients may have increased drug exposure but can take it without specific dosage adjustments, although careful monitoring is necessary. This medication is not to be administered to patients with severe liver impairment, and seeking medical help is advised in case of overdose, which could lead to low blood pressure and heart irregularities. Store this medication out of reach of children, and do not transfer it to another container.
